The Delay

For the moment...I am holding off on a new post.
Yes, this does mean the next one will be long. Sigh. Just need to take in what has happened the past couple of weeks.

What Day is it?

I am mentally and physically exhausted lately. This shift is killing me. But I think what is making it worse is the fact that I am slipping. Slipping into something that I had feared would happen. Thanks Bob for the advice...I think it is time. I will make the jump as soon as I can get away from work. More to come ...once I "see the light".

NO sleep...Fireworks....and the other woman?

Shew...what a week it has been. I am about to lose my mind with the lack of sleep. I know I know, most of it is my fault...but dammit I gotta have a life too ;)

This week started off fairly quiet. Went to see "War of the Worlds" last Sunday. That was how I spent my only afternoon/evening off in a week.

Struggled a bit with the morning shows this week as I could NOT fall asleep until midnight or so..then got up at 300am. Its weird to see the homo traffic from the bars travel in the OPPOSITE direction you are at that time of night. :)

The big event this week was the bridge fireworks (see pic below). Once again, the fags of Charleston climbed on top of the parking garage to OOHHH and AHHH at flames in the air.

But ya know something, I really enjoyed that. Not just the fireworks, but there were alot of people up there...socializing...having some drinks/food. I have met more people here than I think I ever did in Kentucky. As far as good people....ya know...sometimes called friends. :)

I would rather have events like that to do in my free time than to go to a bar. Having a place to talk is soooo important. I wish bars would consider that more.

There was alittle bit of drama here there. Something about "another woman" but I won't get into that. I just am tired of the issues with it. I just plan to live my life the way I hoped/dreamed....if anyone else wants to jump on board, they will. And if I want to kick them off, I will.

Really thinking about going to Atlanta to see David and Mark. I really like those guys and have never really be out in Atlanta...soooo.

OH...btw...I had a rough morning today with the lack of sleep...and I got the email below at work. I will end on that note on this post. Amazing how people have good timing just when you feel down.

Arthur Ravenel Bridge

This is the new bridge that was dedicated with a fireworks show (ironically from the same people that put on Thunder over Louisville) on Thursday night. The bridge opens officially to the public at 830am in the morning. I have never seen such a hype for a bridge before in my life. I do believe there were more parties...and events that what we put on back home for Derby. And you can't make a bet on a bridge.

Tropics Update

Dennis is head toward my homeland area of Kentucky today. No major problems here from him.

Emily will get her own identity later on this afternoon. She may be one to worry about for us here in SC.

Franklin is due to form in a day or two as well. There is a chance he will not bother anyone.

Overall, there is alot to deal with weatherwise. Shew.

Life wise? ahhh well you just will have to wait for another post on that.

Dennis the Menace closing in

The first hurricane of the season should hit AL or FL tomorrow night. We are already getting some feedbands for the far eastern part of the storm up into this area. But, once again...this system is heading to Kentucky. I moved HERE to experience them and they keep hitting Kentucky. Figures.

In order to be "fair and balanced" it has been brought to my attention that I do need to clarify that Kevin is a good guy. Regardless of what has been posted or said to anyone. That is according to sources anyway :) Happy now Kevin? :)

Actually...things are okay right now despite my emmotional downfall last wednesday night. Perhaps I needed to breakdown to get everything in perspective for me.

Also, Christopher is dying to get mentioned in this blog. So..there ya go Chris :) Now..I just have to get a pic of you on here....hmmmm I'll see if I can bribe you to let me do that. Chris is a good guy and has been a big help this week. So "thank you" to you.

Ha...it's almost funny

Okay, I am going to try to keep this from being a sappy post. I hate reading those as much as I do typing them. However, this blog is to experience what is going on in my life..and my thoughts. And right now, I am indeed in a low point. I have recently suffered a series of disappointments. Some I have been able to understand, some I remain clueless about. But regardless, I have not had much in the way of good luck in quite some time.

In fact, I started to wonder...wait. How do you measure what is good and bad luck? Is there a middle line you draw and you determine the type of luck for what falls above or below it???

Maybe so.

I mean...for some, the fact they had food today is good luck. For others, the concept that the their Diesel Jeans were seen on another fag at the bar...is bad luck.


Some may read this and think... Did "I" do something to make Brian feel he has bad luck? No.

In most situations I am struggling with right now, it involves people who are watching out for themselves... something I rarely do.

I am working on redrawing my middle ground line of luck as you read this. Maybe it's time to lower it...or accept the fact I will never have it as high as I deserve.

We'll see.

8:15PM We finally get to Mark and Davids
10PM...I am drinking out of keg..and am officially drunk
1045PM ...Storms hit
1046PM.... Kevin, David and some couple jump into the pool I am dared. And I have no trunks
1053PM... I strip to my boxer briefs and dive in
1110PM... That...special moment occurs. Censored due to witness protection program
1145PM... Get out of the pool.
1230AM... Get bribed to go to the club with the boys.
1232AM...Kevin, Mark, David and I head to Pantheon
1245AM...I am drinking again
100AM... Dancing my ass off
140AM... Kevin and I decide to leave
